Record Store Day, an annual event promoting independent music outlets, has appointed Iggy Pop as its 2012 ambassador.
He follows in the footsteps of last year's ambassador Ozzy Osbourne, promoting the day (April 21) which sees a range of exclusive releases and gigs from various artists.
